Respifur®

“Ceftiofur sodium” is a third-generation cephalosporin β-lactam antibiotic that possesses potent bactericidal activity again gram-negative bacteria and gram positive and some anaerobes.

Composition

Each vial contains: Ceftiofur sodium 1.105 gm (eq. to 1.06 gm base) to obtain a concentration of 50 mg Ceftiofur/ml after reconstitution

Indication

Bovine respiratory disorders (BRD)
Gastroenteritis in neonatal calves
Foot rot
Respiratory infections in horses

Dose

Vial 1 gm powder (add sterile water for injection up to 20 ml) to form a reconstituted solution containing 50 mg/ml.
Cattle: 2.2-4.4 of reconstituted product / 100 kg body weight.
Horse: 4.4-8.8 of reconstituted product / 100 kg body weight.
